Extended Hours
We are no longer open on Saturday mornings, but our clinicians will still provide appointments at Birchwood Medical Practice in Horley. All appointments will need to be made in advance and there will be a wider range of appointments. These will be with a GP, a nurse or other healthcare professionals.
Out of Hours
When Smallfield Surgery is closed, NHS 111 is the telephone service for people in East Surrey to call if they need medical help, but are not in a life-threatening situation. They will assist you in getting the right help, at the right time, during weekends and out of hours.
NHS 111 is free to call from landlines and mobiles, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
This service is used for people who are not sure if they need to go to A&E, need to see a GP or need reassurance and advice.
Your call to NHS 111 will be handled by team of fully trained advisers and experienced nurses and doctors who will assess your condition and direct you to the local service that can help you best, when you need it.
There are only three numbers to know:
- 999 – for life-threatening emergencies.
- 01342 843822 – for Smallfield Surgery.
- 111 – for help and advice when the surgery is closed.
